So Nintendo’s new gaming console, the Nintendo “NX”, is going to be released in March next year. The final name of the game console will probably be changed when it will be released as the “NX” moniker is just put there as a project name.
In this article, I will highlight the things that we know about the Nintendo NX so far. I feel that I need to cover this because a lot of people are still talking about the mysterious Nintendo NX.
So, what do we know so far? Aside from its release date, Nintendo’s president, Tatsumi Kimishima, stated that the Nintendo NX will be pushed at a later date of release.
If you can remember, the Nintendo NX was slated to be released in the last quarter of this year. But according to Kimishima, the release date was pushed further back in March 2017 because he wants to make sure that the lineup of games is all set prior to the release of the game console.
Speaking of games, what games will be released during the Nintendo NX launch? The entire roster of games that will be released with the game console is not yet announced, although Kimishima did say that the new Legend of Zelda game will surely be on that roster.
Other rumored games that might be released during the game console launch will be Dragon Quest 10, a new unnamed Pokemon game, and a rumored Monster Hunter game as well.
Now remember, those games are still just rumored to be released with the Nintendo NX, but it will be interesting to see if it does get released along with the game console.
Another thing we know about the Nintendo NX is that it can reportedly connect with other platforms such as previous Nintendo consoles, PCs, and Smartphones.
It was said that the Nintendo NX can be integrated to work with the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii U. As to the specific information about how it will connect with these devices, it is still not disclosed as of this time of writing.
Some people speculate that Nintendo will be using their new “Nintendo Network Account” scheme where you will register for an account and it will integrate all of your available Nintendo consoles.
The next thing we know is what the game console’s controller might be. I said “might be” because it is unsure whether it will fit both of the designs or just choose the design separately.
It is pretty confusing if Nintendo will opt to include all of them or just pick one or the other. If they are able to pull it off by combining the two controller technologies, the Nintendo NX would be pretty badass.
That is everything we know about the upcoming game console so far. What do you guys want to see in the game console’s final release?
